Rocker ROB THOMAS is so intent on his dog TYLER travelling in style, he once chartered a plane just for the mutt's benefit.
The MATCHBOX TWENTY frontman and his wife MARISOL adopted the five-year-old dog last year (04) from a New York animal shelter, and have since ensured that he travels in the utmost comfort.
After returning from a recent Australian promotional tour for Thomas' platinum-selling solo album SOMETHING TO BE, the couple decided Tyler deserved extra-special treatment.
Thomas says, "We chartered a plane just for him, so we wouldn't have to go through the heartache of putting him under the plane in this heat."
They also go to great lengths to keep him happy when they know they'll be out of town.
The rocker adds, "If we are going overseas, we usually leave a few days early and fly him to Florida where Marisol's parents live, and pick him up on the way back."
